Assembly Programs

These Special Events are perfect for large groups of children and parents. We specialize in bringing quality educational entertainment to Bergen, Essex and Passaic Counties.

In the land of Fire and Ice our Mad Scientist starts with a magic trick, which uses fire to make a card disappear and magically reappear. Fire is used again to get our overweight friend Eggbert into a tight home. Eggbert introduces the concept of air pressure and leads us to the “Amazing Bernoulli Effect”, which we use to float small and large balls in mid-air. Finally, in the ice portion of this event, we startle the crowd with amazing experiments using frozen carbon dioxide gas at 109°F below zero.

Let our Mad Scientist teach you about the many uses of that much misunderstood state of matter, gas. After a Mad Science magic trick, we treat our audience to a series of experiments that demonstrate the power of gas. Volunteers from the audience attempt to pull apart the amazing Magdaburg Sphere, launch a hot air balloon, and use Papa Vortex to create smoke rings. This event concludes with The Mad Science Hovercraft and a dinosaur sneeze from “Jurassic Park”.

How do you know that a chemical reaction has occurred? After this event your students should know. Beginning with a change of color in our chemically challenging “magic” trick, we will then treat them to an assortment of chemical and physical changes: an amazing sound comes from our Flaming Didgeridoos, a genie erupts from a flask with the help of a catalyst, two liquids combine to form a solid in an exothermic reaction and finally, a geyser of hot foam astounds the crowd.

3…2….1….Blastoff!!! Did you know it would take you 16 days to fly to the moon if you could take the fastest jet possible? How long to the sun? Before you can even conceive of any of this you have to first figure out how to leave the gravitational pull of the earth – not an easy challenge. This show examines all the laws of physics and their affects on flight and ability to travel in space. Newton’s three laws of motion are interactively tested by brave volunteers from the audience and different forms of air travel are demonstrated, where one lucky guest gets to ride our very own Mad Science rocket car.

Want to hear some good vibrations? Our sound show explores how sound is made and how we hear it. Everyone will be shocked as we create a dinosaur roar with simple materials. The Mad Scientist will create crazy cacophony with a garbage can, a swinging sound tube and a metal pipe!  Explore the science of speakers with us as we create a funky disco show with magnets and your skull! You’ll really “rock out” with this supersonic audio experience.

In this seriously soaked spectacular, you kids will experience a wacky world of water! Starting with a little soda magic, this event will keep your kids on the edge of there seats, from Soda fountains to super soakers of fun, your kids will get wet with amazing science. Explore the Gas works as we experiement withGet ready to blast-off as we launch a water rocket spectacular to end this fantastic event! Join us as we get soaked in Mad Science!

Join us for an in depth exploration into the earth and how we can do our part to protect our planet! The Earth is full of amazing things, we don't even think about, but use everyday! Experiement with Air and as it blows your mind! Explore volcanoes and create one that will erupt! We will dissect our daily lives to understand the hazard of styrofoam and what we can do to help!  Finally we study the different parts of our atmosphere as we dissect oxygen, nitrogen and carbon dioxide as we create and concoct things to taste and prepare to end with a bang in an amazing BOOM-ING balloon! Join us this Earth Day to see what you can do for your planet!

This high energy, fast-paced Mad Science assembly offers a great opportunity to tobacco-proof children and leaves a lasting impression.  Each assembly includes fascinating experiments that highlight the health risks of tobacco use. Students will see the impact of second-hand smoke and witness the effects of nicotine on the heart and circulatory system.

Join us as we Monster Mash with the Mad Scientists and watch a paper spider morph into an ‘live spider’ leaping out of its cage! We will hear the tale of The Count and Countess Eggbert as they take on the wicked witch and melt her right before our very eyes! Watch in awe as we take a look at Mr. Bernoulli’s Mad experiment with air as make an eyeball float! Keep your eyes on that one!! Then as the freaky frightening finale, we will cool things off with the eerie world of dry ice. We will create bubbling potions, fearsome fog, witches brew and screaming scissors that just can’t take it anymore! Join us for an evening of gruesome goodness, and freaky fun!

Are you looking for the perfect touch of winter fun to add to your holiday event?  Have your audience gasping and laughing at the Mad Scientist’s exciting and merry science experiments.  Through a mixture of science and magic the children will see a playing card vanish only to reappear again neatly gift-wrapped!  Kids will hear how Eggbert became Santa’s helper and will help the Mad Scientist get Eggbert through a chimney using science.  Don't miss out on this simply cool event!
