MAD SCIENCE SPECIALTY CAMPS

Mad Science is the world's leader in fun science for children. Your child will be able touch, see, hear, smell and taste what science is really all about.

Mad Science camps offer a daily combination of in-class discovery and exploration, outdoor games and physical activities and hands-on applications of the scientific principles presented. Campers create a variety of take-home projects and participate in snack-tivities while exploring how science affects the world around us. Your child will have so much fun he may deny he was learning!

New for 2009 -

1) Prices are the same as last year!

It seems the economic conditions are affecting everyone - let's not include the kids in this situation! Mad Science is committed to providing a fun, hands-on learning environment for our campers. Therefore, we have held the line on the cost of our camps. Nothing has been sacrificed - nothing has been left out. The materials and activities in our camps this year are the same as those that have garnered us the distinction of being voted a favorite summer camps for the last 4 years! When deciding where to spend your hard earned dollars, chose the BEST camp for your money - Mad Science!

2) New Lay-away payment option lets you determine how and when you will pay for camp!

The economy is forcing everyone to look more closely at our checkbooks and the cash coming in vs. the cash going out.

Mad Science wants to ensure your child has the opportunity to attend camp this summer. Therefore you can elect to pay in 3 or 4 installments if that will help ease your budget. To set up a lay-away plan, please contact a Camp Specialist in our office at 359-1500.

If you pay in full by April 15th, you will save $20 with our Early Bird Discount. For lay-away customers, your initial payment must be at least $50 (which is non-refundable). Payment in full must be made one week prior to the start of your child's camp. For more information, click HERE.

3) Before and After care is again available for all full-day camps at the Mad Science Laboratory.

In response to many requests from working parents, you may now extend the full-day camp from 9am - 4pm to 8:30am - 5:30pm. Please consult our schedule for camps and dates. An additional charge for this supervision will apply. Please see Camp FAQs for additional details.

4) Combo Camp is back!

Our Combo Camp is a combination of our two half-day camps (NASA and More Power to You) to create another full-day option for you. It's like getting two camps in one!

5) Seven new locations will host Mad Science camps this year!

>> The Charter Colony neighborhood in Midlothian will host three weeks of Mad Science camp in The Charter House.

>> Richmond Parks and Rec has moved their program to Mary Munford Elementary (in the near west end near Carytown).
