Job Responsibilities

If you have experience leading children in organized groups, and are responsible, energetic, and comfortable with elementary science, this is the most fun job you'll ever have. You play with some really cool science toys, help the kids learn with them, and get paid for it!
We supply training, observation sessions, complete programs, equipment, and class schedules. After training and practice sessions with dry ice, rockets, robots, chemical reactions or other cool science stuff, you will work with elementary-age children in our After-School Science programs or with pre-schoolers at area schools, community centers, YMCAs and other care centers.

Mad Scientists can qualify to perform cool group presentations, birthday parties, conduct scout badge workshops, or have a blast doing Science Night experiments with kids and parents at local schools and community centers. Imagine walking out of a school with 300 kids yelling how much they love science because you made it cool!

You don't have to be a science major to be a great Mad Scientist. We hire from many areas of experience, including education, theatre, childcare, business, pre-med, speech pathology, as well as the sciences. If you are an undergrad, Masters in Education student, current teacher who would like extra income, retired teacher not ready to stop teaching, or mom with kids back in school this can be a terrific job.
