Summer 2009 Show Description:

Get your creative juices flowing with Mad Science! Enjoy a 45-minute idea-inspiring event that will make you see science in a new light! Create super sounds, cool chemical reactions and a spooky scene! Come and let your imagination run wild!

Creative Workshop Descripton:

Get creative across the curriculum! Explore the science of art, music, drama and engineering in these 60-minute hands-on workshops! Kids will get imaginative and inventive, while performing eye-opening experiments!

Mad Science Workshops are a series of hands-on, inquiry-based programs on various science topics. These workshops are an excellent tool to help promote reading and build a general interest in learning. Weekly 1 hour workshops could be scheduled throughout the year either in the evenings or during the weekends. Children would be invited to participate in the Mad Science activities on a specific topic, build their cool take-home and we would distribute a suggested reading list with age-appropriate books in that subject area. 

Workshops can be offered as an Enrichment Program in which the parents would register and pay for, making this a no-cost service to the library.
